How would it feel if you have nowhere to go and nothing to
do? Well my feeling is that the possibilities are endless! I will tell you how.
First take will be- let’s have some food, listen to music
and then may be take a nice long nap. Guess what; don’t you do it every day? So
this gets boring. Now what else- I am thinking?? Ok let’s do something
different today. Grab the car keys and hit the road.
First stop is at Walmart. Buy some water, a small crate of
beer and some munchies. Dellis munchies are really nice and they smell real good.
Now you are ready. Wait aren’t you forgetting something? A pack of smokes
perhaps. Ok got it. Now we are in business- let’s roll.
Took exit onto the freeway I-494 E towards Wisconsin. Hit
the road changed few lanes and now I am at the right most lane the speeds just
touching 70 mph and the road is open wide. After a couple of miles- far from
the hustle and bustle of Minneapolis. The roads straight and hitting speeds up to
80 mph. Lets put on a song. The iPhone is jacked onto the car audio and Siri is
taking care of the tracks. Occasional play or pause and we are back in
business.
The roads open wide. Not much of lush green these days. Fall
season is almost over and the winter is on its way. An occasional truck or a
ford f50 is what is there. The entire freeway is wide open. The audio is still
playing. Started off with Guns N Roses, had a bit of U2. Then Pink Floyd- my all-time
favorite. Now it time for a bit of Yanni.
Now it’s time to pull over. I searched for a nature park.
Those are the places you can go. Choose a view sit on the hood of your car look
at the nature and have your food your beer and your smokes. Enjoy the place the
moment and the chance you have and reflect on the possibilities.
As I said before my friend possibilities are endless. Make
sure you have some of your “me moments”. Life is short and very busy indeed.
Now and then you should relax for a bit. Just sit and enjoy the fresh air.
Stare and enjoy the view. Reflect on
your life- evaluate your choices do a bit of self-tuning. Once all is done and
the time feels right- get up and move on.
Get back to your daily life. Get back to the corporate
mumbo-jumbo and those back-stabbing bastards. Those are the ones you are with every
day and money well that’s one thing which is not enough- not now not ever. But
trust me the one thing which really not enough is time. The city life, the
corporate world sucks the life out of you.
Then again that is what life is. Live for others- and after
that if you have some time left live for yourself. Continue on that path and
when you feel deprived enough- have another “me moment”. That’s something to
look forward to.
